For a year-round treat, make your way to Krause Springs. It’s a haven with beautiful landscapes, a sprawling garden, and serene, refreshing waterfalls. When the temperatures rise, dive into the natural springs pool and the lower natural swimming hole featuring waterfalls and rope swings.
Come springtime, my go-to spot for scoping out the best blooms is the Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area. It won the grand prize hands down last spring, with acres of bluebonnets and a myriad of other flowers covering the hills, creating the most picturesque camping spots and picnic areas.
And after a day of exploring, treat yourself to some tasty Texas BBQ at Opie’s BBQ. My top pick? Brisket, green beans, and blackberry cobbler. Of course, there are plenty of other options, but that’s my winning order! Spicewood, where nature meets flavor in the most delightful way!
